This book is essential to anyone learning how to view the Eye with a Slit Lamp. For Ophthalmic Photography
the book provides both illustrations and photographic examples to explain how to best document Eye Pathology
with a Slit Lamp and camera. I was involved in Eye Photography for 48 years and used this book often until I
retired and left it behind. I purchased this as a gift to a friend who had much experience with a Slit Lamp but no
Photography experience. In my opinion there is none better.

hearbreaking, original, horrific, profound... "found."

I came across "found." quite by accident and could not put it down until I had finished the last page. It is a dark coming of age story about an eleven-year-old boy who discovers his older brother is a serial killer. If I had to compare it to anything, I'd say it's a bit like "Ordinary People" with regards to its characters and their family dynamic. But Mr. Rigney takes this into darker territory -- first in the vein of "Stand by Me," and finally in the vein of "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" or "Audition." The last few chapters spiral into some of the bleakest, most disturbing scenarios you're likely to read, but this book is also full of provocative themes and beautiful ambiguities. It has a lot to say about racism, homophobia, how horror affects young people, and on how traumatic adolescence can be. And that's just scraping the surface. I've read the book three times now, and new layers keep unfolding before me. Perhaps most significantly, the book captures a turning point in a boy's life, where he -- almost instantly -- stops being a child and becomes a man, at least in his thinking. It's a violent and bittersweet moment, and Mr. Rigney plays upon it very well. "found." is a scrumptious, dark delight.

Great style meets unsettling storyline!

What is there to say about Todd Rigney's first novel "found"? Disturbing? Unsettling? Weird? Not really, I just don't think that these words would do this book justice. What Mr. Rigney presents us with "found" is a compelling and shocking view inside the life of fifth grader Marty - a life like any other fifth grader... or is it?

I am an avid reader and never have I read a book that could be compared to "found" in terms of writing style, storytelling and climax. In an almost seemingly innocent way, T. Rigney describes the world through Marty's eyes until events take a turn for the worst and take us on a rollercoaster ride from hell finishing with the most unsettling ending I have ever encountered in a book. I could not put the book down until the end. There was just something about that bizar writing style that keeps you glued to the pages. "found" is definitely a must have in every horror/thriller/mystery fans repertoire and I can't recommend it enough. Very well done!

This book is fantastic! I have to admit, like the other reviews mention,I couldn't put down until I finished it.Marty is a character that is so relatable. You can't help but feel like you *know* Marty ..maybe even that you were him at some point - But his life takes a turn for the weird, very early in the story and you are taken someplace very dark, very fast & it keeps getting darker & faster but you can't help it..you have go along for the ride,because you become so invested in this kid's life. And you find yourself wondering how far this can go, and still keep you rooting for Marty & his older brother,Steve..because Steve obviously loves Marty. And he wants to protect Marty-
But how far is too far? I was horrified by the end - in the best way possible ( it *is* a Horror Story in the truest sense of the word "Horror").I can't think of another book that delivers you into hell on a roller coaster like this one did..but because the writing is so engaging,the characters so familiar, you allow yourself to be taken on that ride..totally worth it..just be prepared for, what I thought, (and so do a lot of others,apparently) was the most shocking,twisted ending to a story that is clearly not "just" a Horror Story. And, hey..check out the movie - Yes, it's a movie as well now..as it totally deserves to be. Please don't be one of those people that "just will wait for the movie", though.You will do yourself a big favor by reading it *first*..
