Jarrod Underdown was born in California but moved back and forth to Missouri over the years. He received his degree in Criminal Justice and makes a living as a facilitator. Jarrod makes his home in the Ozarks with his wife, Rosanna and their two children, John and Grace.

great military , paranormal story

What a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed Cody Rainwoods journey from college,to police training ,to military black ops. The paranormal elements don't appear until half way through the book. They were integrated well and were quite believable . I am really hoping for a sequel ,Cody, Mcbane, Mac: What ever hou want to call him he is one dangerous man, with a heart of gold!

A Wonderful Read

I had no idea what to expect from this book, but I was delightfully surprised with the story and characters. I must admit, I peeked at the reviews already posted and was glad I did. The hint to pay attention to 'Now and Then' helped to keep me on track of events as they played out. I fell in love with Cody/Gabriel. He was a sensitive man, while at the same time, strong, ruthless, focused on the task at hand, and loyal. His life was a rollercoaster of tragedy and success. I won't give away any of the details, except to say what the fates gave him throughout his life, prepared him for his final job.
Cassandra was a beautiful agent with a one track mind. She had to discover who the man was that took out an entire death squad, while saving young trafficked girls. She irritated me at first because she wouldn't leave this man alone. She does have a heart, however.
I loved this book. I loved how it played out with twists and turns I didn't see coming. I had trouble putting the book down and I highly recommend this to anyone who loves mystery, magic, and adventure.

Take the time to read! "Then" and "Now"

I found this to be an excited, fun, thrilling, amazing read! Before I began the book I was advised to "pay attention" to the chapter beginnings with "Then" and "Now". That bit of advice gave me a smooth reading experience! This is the first book I have read with vampires/extraterrestrial character. My type of go to read is with mystery, thriller, suspense, little love thrown in. This fabulous read has all and more! How Underdown brought all together with such detailed experience of Cody Rainwood, Gabriel and Mac; the historic events, live events leading to each circumstance, knowledge put forth in this book was well detailed, thought out experiences! Thanks for a wonderful and fun reading experience! Thanks Mr Jarrod!! Lets know when to expect more!!
